What Is Confidence?

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities!
Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be
successful or happy.”
- Norman Vincent Peale
(Author, broadcaster, professional speaker, entrepreneur and minister)
Confidence is nothing more than an attitude of assurance, trust and belief in your abilities or credentials. It is feeling positive about what you can do and not worrying about what you can’t do, but having the will to learn new skills, acquire new knowledge and apply new attitudes as required. This is the hallmark of any successful person. Confidence fuels and permits you to perform well, achieve success and pursue your ambitions. It can make you feel motivated, positive, inspired and remove the limits we often place upon ourselves. In order to enjoy success, it is vital that you be confident about yourself. You can change your levels of confidence and success, starting right now, by making a conscious decision to do all that you can to improve.
The truth is, we all question ourselves. However, whether we answer positively or negatively is usually related to our levels of confidence. A positive response means we will usually go on to perform well and enjoy new success. A negative response usually means we will miss the moment and blow the opportunity, letting success we could have achieved pass us by.
I enjoy sharing techniques with my clients that boost their confidence. When their confidence increases, so do their achievements. The techniques I use are simple, easily implemented into your practice, but make a world of difference to your performance.
